我正在尝试处理目录搜索中的空值

     try{
          // some code here
          SearchResult searchResult=directorySearcher.FindOne();
          // some code here
         }
catch(Exception ex)
        {}

如何检查搜索结果是否为空 我尝试过

  if(searchResult==null)
    {
     // value is null
    }
 but still,it goes to catch the exception.
