asp.net dropdownlist – 在db值之前添加空行

在我的页面上，我有一个DropDownList，我填充从SqlDataSource的数据库值(见下面的代码)。

如何在值之前添加自己的文本或空行？

你可以在DropDownList标记内添加一个 ListItem。来自DataSource的所有值将在此之后添加。

<asp:DropDownList ID="drpClient" runat="server" Width="200px" 
          AutoPostBack="True" DataSourceID="dsClients" DataTextField="name" 
          DataValueField="client_id" AppendDataBoundItems="true">
   <asp:ListItem>-- pick one --</asp:ListItem>
</asp:DropDownList>
